~ ABOUT APC: OUR VISION, OUR VALUES, OUR VIEWS ~

Our Vision

Arlington Presbyterian Church is a community committed to nurturing a joy for loving God and loving people by proclaiming and living out the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Our Values

Our Views

Arlington Presbyterian Church is a congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). We hold to the basic truths of historic Christianity:

  • The inerrant and infallible Word of God
  • The Trinity
  • The creation and fall of man
  • The deity and virgin birth of Jesus Christ
  • Substitutionary atonement
  • The regeneration of believers
  • The bodily resurrection and ascension of Christ
  • The personal and visible return of Christ
  • Bodily resurrection and final judgment
  • Literal heaven and hell

Our full statement of belief is contained in the Westminster Standards including The Westminster Confession of Faith. We would also recommend A Synopsis of the Beliefs of the Presbyterian Church in America.

Our History

APC has enjoyed a rich history since 1985. When planted by Pastor Ed Bertalan, she blossomed into a particularized congregation of the PCA. Since the late 1980's, under the leadership of several godly elders and the pastorate of Tom Ferrell she flourished. In 2006 Pastor Ferrell resigned, and the church underwent a process of transition, all while continuing to be built by God.

In December 2007, after many months of work by the search committee and the constant prayers of God's people, APC called Pastor Jeremy to serve and lead the church.
